Religious Education Sign Ups
Sign ups for the 2010-2011 Religious Education school year will be held the weekend of August 21 & 22nd. Registration forms will be available after all Masses in Pilliod Hall or you may stop by the parish office to register. Classes will begin on Sunday, September 19 and will be held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month thereafter. If you have any questions, please contact Chuck Wright, our Director of Religious Education at the parish office.
Religious Education Parents Meeting
A mandatory meeting for parents of Religious Education students will be held on Sunday, August 29 immediately following the 8:00 & 10:30 Mass. Please join Deacon Chuck Wright in Pilliod Hall. You need only attend one meeting.
First Reconciliation - First Eucharist Registration
First Reconciliation - First Eucharist preparation classes begin on Tuesday, September 21 at 7:00 p.m. Children must be baptized and at least 7 years of age by September 15 in order to be enrolled in the program. Please note: All children enrolled in the sacramental preparation program must also be registered for regular Religious Education classes. There will be six family gatherings (three for each sacrament) throughout the year. Registration forms are available in the vestibule, in the parish office and on-line. Forms are due no later than August 31.
RCIA
Our next Tri-Parish gathering for RCIA will take place on Thursday, September 2 at St. Rita Church. This weeks topic will include: The Bible & Catholicism. Please join us at 7:00 p.m.
God's Garden
God's Garden is planted: Now comes the fun of watching 8,000 square feet of plants sprout and grow! Stop by God's Garden Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. throughout the summer to see what we are doing! No gardening knowledge or tools are necessary. Bring the family, kids are welcome. Come help us feed the hungry, and learn how to grow your own food along the way, too!
Labor Day Mass
The Tri-Parish Mass for Labor Day will be held at St. Rita. Please join us at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 6.
Walk for the Poor!
Join St. Vincent DePaul in raising funds to ease poverty as we also raise awareness for the plight of the poor as we "Walk for the Poor!". Join us on Saturday, September 25 at 10:00 a.m. at the Job Center located at 1133 S. Edwin C. Moses in Dayton. You may register on-line at www.stvincentdayton.org or pick up a registration form near one of the St. Vincent DePaul bins in church. See you there!
